Course Memo

This course introduces the student to basic nursing concepts, health promotion, and the nursing process. Basic human needs and safety in patient care are introduced. The course has a lab/clinical component for students to build a foundation of nursing psychomotor skills. (A grade of “A” or “B” is required to pass this course) Prerequisite: Satisfactory completion of required general education courses.

Course Section Description

Students will be assigned to one of the following labs the first half of the semester on Monday, Wed, or Thursday from 9am-3pm. Students will be assigned to one of the following clinicals the second half of semester on Monday, Wed, or Thursday from 7am-1pm.
